Earlier this year I had the privilege to be involved in this wonderful shoot. Set in the beautiful wedding venue of Hill Place at Swanmore – the perfect backdrop for the photographs and a stunning venue to hold your own wedding. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side on the day of the shoot , rain, rain and more rain – but this didn’t take anything away from the finished images at all!
Love the above photograph so much. It has to be one of my personal favourites from the day. After all, how often does a bride get to wear a jumpsuit (by the amazing Charlie Brear and supplied by the wonderful Winchester boutique Brides of Winchester) and sit on a piano! The gorgeous model, Lisa had the most amazing auburn hair which was perfectly styled by Tori of Riot Hairdressing – who organised the whole shoot by the way! Tori is amazing at what she does and is the most lovely lady too. I can always rely on her to create the perfect style to set off my hair accessories. She asked me to design a selection of head pieces with a hint of blue. I made a hair vine / circlet using opal Swarovski crystals which was tied with aquamarine blue velvet ribbon. I also made a delicate comb and matching hair pin with delicate hand beaded leaves and Swarovski pearls and crystals. I made matching statement earrings to finish the look.
The blue tiara was my favourite piece – I designed this incorporating vintage brooches (sourced from local antique markets!) in aqua and teal blues set in gold plated casings and mounted the whole piece on a gold plated head band. Tori used a veil by Sash and Veil to complete the look.
Make up by Evie at Made Up Wedding Make Up was perfect and complemented Lisa’s gorgeous red hair.
The flowers , by the amazingly talented Jennifer Poynter Flowers were absolutely breathtaking! Jen used different types of roses, feathery astilbe, eryngium thistles and lavender blue muscari. She added grey toned foliage for the wintery theme – just perfect!
Photography was by the fabulous Jason of Jason Williams Photography. He went for a soft romantic feel which suited his style perfectly. Stationery was by the lovely Carol of Laurel Designs Wedding Stationery. Printing directly onto watercolour card, the dusky blue flowers were perfect for a wintery wedding. The Place Cards were placed in the prongs of the forks complementing the individual menus. The table plan brought in some geometric elements and hanging it from the stunning curved staircase in Hill Place was the perfect setting.
The fabulous cake was made by Cesca of Gillespie Cake Company The blue and grey marble effect gives a touch of winter elegance. The rope symbolises the loving knot that has been tied between the bride and groom and the finishing touches include some subtle blush pink roses.
The gorgeous long sleeved lace dress by the amazing Suzanne Neville looked fabulous on our Model Lisa.
The cocktails in the images were supplied by Josh of Njac Event Bars – the best cocktails in the business!
